Murray’s Story: The Life-Saving Intervention for an 8-Month-Old Kitten
In March of 2024, Murray, an 8-month-old kitten suffered from gastrointestinal blockage due to the accidental ingestion of a foreign object. Surgery was the only treatment option in order to save the kitten’s life.
SplootCare Fund provided the financial support needed for Murray’s pet parent to avail of the life-saving surgery. Without prompt treatment, Murray’s condition would have been fatal.
Now, after recovery, Murray is in great health, ready to grow and face life’s adventures.

My dog Nova had a severe case of pyometra and they went above and beyond to make sure my fur baby got the care she needed. From Callie to Marissa all the way to Dr Ratchford and his team. We are having some hardships at the moment and they all were very caring to my situation and didn’t just turn me away feeling helpless.
Their compassion fund helped with a huge portion of her overall medical needs and we couldn’t have been more thankful. She was seen and had surgery the same day and now we’re home recovering. I cannot thank this place enough. A literal LIFE SAVER!!! ♥♥♥

As a certified 501(c)(3) charity, SplootCare Fund adheres to government policies on financial transparency, including strict financial reporting.
We ensure donations are used most effectively by supporting beneficiaries with substantial hardship and veterinary cases that have a good prognosis, where a single intervention can lead to long-term recovery and a return to normal quality of life.

Eligibility for receiving assistance is determined based on financial need and the prognosis of the case. There must be a good prognosis from a single intervention, as determined by our medical staff.
